A Parton-Hadron Cascade Approach in High-energy Nuclear Collisions
Event generators based on perturbative QCD (pQCD) are proposed such as HIJING (Heavy Ion Jet Interaction Generator)[1], VNI (Vincent Le Cucurullo Con Giginello)[2], in order to describe ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions, especially, at collider energies (RHIC/LHC). Although both models reproduce many pp and p̄p data, there are large discrepancies in AA collisions between these two models, ...

متن کاملThermal hadron production in relativistic nuclear collisions
We present the status of the description of hadron production in central nucleus-nucleus collisions within the statistical model . Extending previous studies by inclusion of very high-mass resonances (m> 2 GeV), and the upto-now neglected scalar σ meson leads to an improved description of the data. In particular, the hitherto poorly reproduced energy dependence of theK/π ratio at SPS energies (...
متن کاملHadron Production in Relativistic Nuclear Collisions
Relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions create a ”fireball” of strongly interacting matter at high energy density. At very high energy this is suggested to be partonic matter, but at lower energy it should consist of yet unknown hadronic, perhaps coherent degrees of freedom. The freeze-out of this high density state to a hadron gas can tell us about properties of fireball matter.
متن کاملCentrality Dependence of Hadron Multiplicities in Nuclear Collisions in the Dual Parton Model
We show that, even in purely soft processes, the hadronic multiplicity in nucleusnucleus interactions contains a term that scales with the number of binary collisions. In the absence of shadowing corrections, this term dominates at mid rapidities and high energies. Shadowing corrections are calculated as a function of impact parameter and the centrality dependence of mid-rapidity multiplicities...
